Sensory Play

- Play dough 

Recipe:

1 cup flour

½ cup salt

2 teaspoons cream of tarter

1 cup water

2 tablespoons oil

1 tsp food coloring or water color

Combine 1 cup flour, ½ cup of salt and 2 teaspoons cream of tarter in a large saucepan. Gradually stir in 1 cup water mixed with 2 tablespoons oil and 1 teaspoon food coloring or water color. Cook over medium to high heat, stirring constantly until a ball forms. Remove from heat, cool and knead until smooth on wax paper. Store in an airtight container.

- Oobleck

Recipe: 2 cups of corn starch to 1 cup of water. May need more water depending on consistency. You can also add food coloring!

- Cloud Dough

Recipe: 2 cups of corn starch, 1 cup baby lotion and food coloring. Mix corn starch and lotion together until you reach the consistency desired.

- Flower Ice Tray

Materials Needed: 1 nice size tray, meduim or large. Two trays of frozen ice cubes. A bunch a different colored flowers and leaves. One eye dropper. Two small baby jars cleaned and unlabeled. Food coloring. 

Place a child size handful of flowers in freezable bowls or a cup cake tray and add water. Freeze overnight. Place tray on a hard surface. Add ice cubes and frozen flower cups. Place one jar on one corner of the container and the other with food coloring on the opposite end. Add eye droppers and get ready for some fun!
