Hello Highlands community, my name is Colleen Hahn and I am the Assistant Director here at the EEC. I was born and raised in San Mateo and currently still reside here with my family. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Child Development with a Minor in Child Psychology in 2015 from California State University Chico. I have been working with children for just about as long as I can remember. I grew up babysitting in the neighborhood, worked at the local Junior Gym, and then became a preschool teacher in 2015. I was a Tiger teacher for about 3 years, then stepped into the role of the curriculum coordinator at the EEC, and then got promoted to the Assistant Director here! When I am not working, I enjoy reading, going to concerts, and cheering on all of the Bay Area sports teams!

I have always been so interested in how children view the world, and how I can help make the world a more accepting and loving place. I am an advocate for children learning through play and my favorite thing about working at the EEC is watching children blossom and step into their own by discovering the world around them.
