This month, Highlands Recreation District would like to shine a bright spotlight on Mike Murphy! Mike is currently the In-Crowd Head Teacher and just celebrated his 10 years working at Highlands Rec!

When asked what his favorite part of The Rec is, Mike responded, “The Highlands is a nice area, and everyone is so friendly. The Rec is such a special place in the community.”

Outside of the Rec, Mike enjoys daily workouts, playing golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. He doesn’t have one specific favorite color but likes a variety of colors. Mike also enjoys eating seafood.

Mike was asked if there was anything he would like the Highlands Community to know about him. He shared a very kind and genuine response. “I want the Highlands community to know that I have really enjoyed my time here at Highlands. During my time working in the After School Program, everything I have done and continue to do, has always been for the kids.”
