Summer is almost here!

June 12 is the start of summer swim hours and will be here before we know it! Get ready to have a fun summer here at the pool. Whether you have signed up for lessons, come here to work out, or stop by in the afternoons to cool off and have fun, the Highlands Pool is here for you! Please take advantage of our daily recreational swimming program from 1-4pm to take a break from the summer heat. The Highlands Pool staff are looking forward to seeing all of you at the pool!

Swim Lesson Updates

We have had some changes in our swim lesson staff recently; however, the pool anticipates the expansion of swim lesson offerings as we move through the summer. If you are on the waiting list for a class, you will be contacted via email if your child can be added to a class. It is also recommended to check our website regularly for any new class openings.

Have you noticed….

…that the pool looks amazingly clear? In May, the aquatics staff replaced 96 filter discs. The affect on the pool has been stunning! The crystal-clear water has been a great sight for all who have visited the pool. The new filters will also keep debris from entering the heating system, limiting the need for maintenance closures. Take a look at the pictures to see the old filters versus the new ones!

A surprise….

Any many of you may know, the diving board was recently removed from the diving tank area. We are looking into bringing another fun attraction to the deep end of the pool for patrons to use. While the new attraction is still a surprise, we can assure you the District is working on making the pool as fun and inviting as possible!

That is all for now, see you all at the pool!
