Spring is almost here!

As we turn towards March (and warmer weather, we hope!) it’s time to think about coming back to the pool and taking advantage of what we have to offer. We are starting a new pre-competitive program to fast-track swimmers onto the swim team. For those whose children are in Level 4 or Level 5, this class is a great alternative and will prepare your child for the swim team in the best way possible. Classes are at 3:15pm on Tuesday and Thursdays. New sessions begin in April and May. Click here to register now

While I was away…

In February, Dan Ryken, Aquatics Supervisor, was fortunate enough to attend the Association of Aquatics Professionals conference in Colorado Springs. Dan is really excited about some of the things he learned for the pool staff, and even more excited with ideas to raise the level of fun here at the Highlands Pool. Look for some of these ideas to show up in the late summer, early Fall. It might take us to new heights!

Lifeguarding Classes are Happening!

There are two more Lifeguarding classes, which are scheduled for March and April. Each class consists of 8 hours of online learning, followed by a Friday and two Saturdays of in person meetings. The next class is March 10th, 11th, and 18th.

Want to take the class for free? Apply to be a Lifeguard, and if you are hired, you can be reimbursed for the class, or can have your fee waived! We need you and we will pay to train you!
