In July we explored adventures in dramatic play! The children in the Tiger class have been captivated by our dramatic play center this summer. Throughout the year we have journeyed to space, became doctors, managed a flower shop, traveled to the jungle, and even dabbled in the construction business!
The children have been busy cooking up creations in our pizza parlor. Implications for learning in our dramatic play center include: social interactions, shared use of space and materials, self help skills, and creative expression. We love watching children take charge of their own learning in this area.
We see them making up their own games, helping each other, and using their imaginations to transport themselves into different worlds. In the next few months we look forward to going on a camping trip, taking care of animals in our veterinarian office, and opening our own bakery.
