This past month of April brought us lots of delightful discoveries! The Tigers have kept close watch of our caterpillars as we patiently await their transformation. In honor of Earth day, we read The Lorax, by Dr. Seuss. Children were so enchanted by the story, we decided to make our very own Truffla Trees to hang in our room. We spent circle time discussing how to take care of our Earth, and we also learned how to sort recycling at the math center. Children spent lots of time at the sensory table squeezing, blending, and mashing up paper to make our own recycled paper.
With warmer days hopefully approaching, we are excited to spend more time outside exploring nature and insects. The Tigers look forward to releasing our butterflies into the world and seeing the fruits of our labor in our garden. We plan on creating a fairy garden outside in hopes of catching a glimpse of something magical.
Stayed tuned to see what else the month of May brings us!
Be well,
The Tiger Teachers
