The Tigers have been so interested in the changing of the seasons the past few weeks. We dove right into autumn by collecting and raking up fall leaves, investigating how apples grow, and making our homemade applesauce!
Right when the clock struck October we transformed our dramatic play area into a haunted house! We began our pumpkin investigation by making predictions about what we think is inside a pumpkin. Our guesses included a flower, seeds, pumpkin goo, and water. We finally got to crack open a pumpkin and we discovered there was sticky seeds and slime inside. We plan on continuing our investigation and transforming our pumpkin into delicious pumpkin bread! The rest of October will be filled with lots of spooky fun. Witches brew, slimy worms and eyeballs, pumpkin painting, and more! Don’t forget to wear your costumes to school on October 29th for our in class Halloween party.
Thanks for reading and enjoy your spooky season!
