Our young Monkeys have really been working with their hands a lot lately!
They have been building their fine motor and eye-hand coordination skills using blocks, scarves and any other tool to push, pull, and squash. This really looks different for the different stages of development from infants to toddlers. The young infants are learning to turn the pages of board books and change toys from one hand to another. Some toddlers practice on musical instruments or manipulating loose parts. Other toddlers use their fine motor skills while coloring or connecting manipulatives. They are each challenged by different materials and encouraged or inspired by their peers and teachers.
As we move into Fall, the children will explore Fall provocations and enjoy the seasonal changes. Please let us know if you have fun Fall activities that we can share with our little ones.
Warmly,
The Monkey Team
