Please give a warm welcome to Monica Fellis, Highland Recreation District’s newest team member! Monica joined us in early December as the Administrative Supervisor. She comes to us with lots of experience in education, systems and operations. Previously, Monica worked for the YMCA in San Francisco and San Mateo. Most recently, she was the Director of Operations at a charter school in Sacramento. This is where her passion for systems and operations was amplified. She is excited to be coming full circle working at Highlands Rec, where she is merging her previous work experiences.
Outside of work, Monica enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and relaxing at home. She loves anything sparkly, and her favorite food is Sushi. Monica is excited to join the Highlands community as it feels like a perfect fit.
Be sure to say hi and introduce yourself when you see Monica!

channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Highlands Recreation District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and

Compliance Procedures and Reports
In addition to testing with users with a wide range of disabilities and coding our website to WCAG standards,
Highlands Recreation District regularly scans its website to ensure ongoing compliance, and makes timely
changes to any inaccessible changes, if any are found.
