The Rec is pleased to introduce Graciella Catimbang, the Head Teacher at In-Crowd, who has been working at the Rec for a little over 4 years.

Graciella writes – “My favorite part about Highlands Rec has always been the camaraderie that revolves around the staff and community. Over the years of working here I've developed a bond with a multitude of kids that have attended the After School Program. It's always been fulfilling being involved in a portion of their everyday lives, getting to know all the individual personalities, and seeing what each day brings as they grow!  

Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of work is enjoying the outdoors and spending time with loved ones. Taking a hike or chasing a sunset has always been my go-to. 

My favorite color is green! Sage and emerald are a few of my favorite shades, just not a big fan of lime. My favorite food at the moment is probably Thai or sushi. Can never go wrong with either!

I would want to let the Highlands community know how grateful I am of how truly welcoming everyone has been from day one. I've had the pleasure of getting to know many incredible families involved and some even on a more personal level outside of ASP/Rec. The amount of trust and responsibility to care after your kids has disciplined me more than ever and to lead by example. I think we all know at times some days can be unpredictable, which is why I'm also thankful of the continuous support and help of the incredible staff!”
