Greetings Highlands Community!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season and is starting the New Year healthy and happy! December was full of festive fun here at the EEC and the children have been busy with winter activities like ice fishing, cookie baking, and endless holiday art. Children enjoyed playing with fake snow, building playdough snowman and exploring pine trees and cranberries in sensory bins.

On December 16th, we hosted a Holiday party for our EEC families. Everyone brought delicious food and treats to share while the children and their families enjoyed fun classroom activities. We invited a puppet show performer to entertain the children with a holiday story and we even had a visit from Santa! It was wonderful hosting this event and seeing all the families and staff enjoy time together. The children were excited to play with their parents in the classrooms and show off all of their artwork. We are looking forward to many more family events in the future. 

The staff here at the EEC wanted to say a big thank you for all the support this community gives the EEC. While we seem to be getting somewhat “back to normal” after the pandemic, we also still had a lot to navigate through this year. We are grateful to be a part of such a special community that helps us be successful year after year. We hope everyone has a safe and healthy new year!
