Throughout the month of December, Highlands Recreation District had their annual Food Drive. Typically, there would be food collection barrels around the Rec. With the COVID 19 pandemic still around, food banks have been making a few changes.
Now, food drives have gone virtual! Food banks are able to make monetary donations stretch, allowing them to buy food in bulk. This provides healthier meals, for more people in need.
The Highlands community was able to raise $1,294! Incredible! Thank you so much to everyone who generously donated. No matter how big or small, it made a difference.
