To stay within the winter season, in January we decided to turn our dramatic area into a hibernation cave. The children helped paint big boxes and added stuffed animals that hibernate during this time of the year. The children also used this area as our quiet cozy area for talking and looking at books. Circle was also a great time to talk about animal behaviors in the winter as well as reading books about how they prepare, where they nest and why they rest during this time of the season.
Stay tuned for the month of February, where the chameleons will be creating and talking about the lunar new year and all things about love for Valentine’s Day.
