A message from the General Manager:

Welcome to the first edition of the Highlands Recreation District’s eNews. We hope that you will find it useful in staying informed of the current happenings at “The Rec”.

It has been a challenging year navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and we appreciate your continued support and understanding as we modify our facilities, programming, and services ensuring the safety of all our users and the public. We continue to monitor and implement State and County health and safety guidelines and protocols as they are updated. This week the Regional Stay Home Order (PDF) took effect in San Mateo County. Fortunately, the order does not impact most of the District’s current limited operation including our childcare programs and outdoor recreation facilities like the pool.

Governor Newsom stressed the importance of local parks to the public for their physical and mental health and encouraged Californians to continue to frequent our facilities. Learn more about the Regional Stay at Home Order and what it does by clicking HERE.
