Greetings Families,

Although the winter usually brings bleak weather, that didn’t stop the Tigers' imaginations from soaring. The children were so interested in rainbows this past month. Teachers extended this interest by inviting children to build, paint, and explore colors of the rainbows. We observed so many children discussing with their peers about the order of colors in the rainbow and working together to make complex structures with rainbow arcs.

Looking to February, we have been exploring the Lunar New Year holiday by reading stories and creating art with beautiful shades of red and gold. We are already brimming with excitement about Valentine’s Day! The art center has been full of busy bees making valentine’s and cutting out hearts. We look forward to strengthening our literacy skills at the writing desk practicing writing out valentine messages. Don’t forget to bring in your Valentine’s on Monday, February 14th for our classroom party.

Thank you for reading!
