EEC News - May 2026

Highlands Recreation District's Early Education Center News for May 2026 includes Easter recap, tour info, and chameleon openings.

April was full of fun, laughter, and special moments at the EEC! 🎉

Spring is officially in full swing! 🌸 Our egg hunt was a highlight, with children eagerly searching all around the yard. One of the best parts was seeing them help their friends—it was such a sweet reminder of the caring community we have here. We are heading into May with several programs and celebrations! 💐 We Look forward to celebrating our incredible teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week starting the week of May 4. May is also Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month! We would love families to join us in celebrating by sharing their culture. Whether it is a story, activity, tradition, or a favorite snack, we would be so excited to have you participate!

A few quick reminders:

  • Early closure on May 1 at 4:00 PM for a staff meeting
  • Closed Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day

Thank you for being such an important part of our EEC community—we love sharing these moments with you! 💛
