EEC News - April 2026

A Note of Gratitude

As many of you may have heard, I will soon be transitioning from my role as Director of the EEC, with my final day being April 1. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your Highlands community. It has been a privilege to work alongside such dedicated educators and to partner with families who care so deeply about their children and our program. Watching children grow, learn, and find confidence has truly been one of the greatest joys of my career. I am incredibly proud of the work we have done together to create a program rooted in relationships, curiosity, intentionality, and care.
While I am excited about what comes next, I will always carry this community with me. Thank you for your trust, support, and many wonderful memories.
With gratitude, Julie, EEC Director

Early Education Center Director Search
The District has selected finalists to meet the EEC Parent Interview Panel the week of March 25. Our new Director is expected to arrive near April 15, 2026. A huge thank you to Debbie Labucay, Administrative Coordinator and past EEC teacher, for stepping in as the interim director.
