Dear Highlands Community,
On behalf of the Highlands Recreation District Board of Directors, I am writing to share the news that Derek Schweigart has resigned as General Manager of the District, effective May 9, 2022. Derek has accepted the role of Director of Parks and Recreation with Foster City. This is an exciting career opportunity. We thank Derek for his service to the District. Please join me in congratulating him.
In the coming weeks the District's Board of Directors will appoint an interim General Manager and commence a search for a permanent General Manager. We are committed to engaging with the community and will provide updates throughout the hiring process.
