The Highlands Recreation District (HRD) is a public agency governed by an elected Board of Directors (5). The Board meets at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month in the Social Room. The HRD is supported by property taxes and user fees and operates the Highlands Recreation Center. We welcome your ideas and attendance at the Highlands Recreation Center, a place where family traditions begin.

We are looking for an individual who wants to be a positive role model and make a difference in children's lives through teaching! Our full day year -round program is play- based with an emphasis on social and self-help skills and serves children ages 3 months -- 5 yrs. We have a FULL TIME HEAD TEACHER position available for our younger preschool room (AGES 2-3.5). Qualifications: Applicants for our teaching positions must have a minimum of 12 ECE (early childhood education) units, AND 3 infant/toddler units or be willing to enroll in the infant/toddler class.
