Beginning in the Fall 2022 session and moving forward, Highlands Recreation District will be enforcing new refund policies regarding seasonal camps, enrichment classes and camps, and aquatics programs.

The EEC had the privilege to host its first Open House on September 22nd! Families and children were welcomed to examine all the fun activities that happen regularly inside the classrooms. The After School Program has been enjoying the last few days of summer by swimming at the pool and playing with water balloons.  As we move into fall, the program is preparing for Fall Break Camp which runs from 10/3-10/7.  After that, Halloween will be right around the corner.  The kids will be doing some spooky arts and crafts and we’ll have a Halloween party on October 28 which will include…

Good News! We have hired two new swim instructors! By the end of October, we will be expanding almost every swim lesson offering. This means if you are on the waiting list, you will probably be hearing from us soon with good news! Key an eye out in your email for updates.

On September 10th, the Highlands Community Emergency Response Team conducted a Dry run to assess preparedness and be ready for when the next emergency comes. All scenarios were done well and we look forward to hosting another CERT academy this winter.
