Highlands Rec has a variety of camps to offer this summer, including a unique Chinese Folk-Art camp, several Tech and Art camps, Chess camp, a few virtual camps for those interested in engaging from home, and so much more! We have full day and half day camps available, and Summer Fun Zone Rec Camp! It’s not too late to register! Sign-up now to secure your spot in summer fun! 

We are excited to offer Food Truck Fun Nights! Highlands Rec will section off the parking lot on July 16th and August 20th and will feature one or more popular food trucks for the community to gather and enjoy delicious food and the company of friends! Tables, chairs, live music, and family friendly games will be provided. Be sure to join us at the pool after dinner for Family Pool Night!

This month Highlands Rec is excited to introduce Naomi Kawakita who has served as the District’s Bookkeeper for the past 35 years! She is extremely knowledgeable and does a wonderful job helping the District manage its finances. We asked Naomi to share a bit about herself, so that you all may know and appreciate her like we do! Be sure to say hello when you see her!

As summer approaches, the kids are enjoying water play with water balloons and super soakers.  The kids have also enjoyed helping Steve, the Maintenance Supervisor, plant pumpkins this Spring.

Beginning on May 29th, come to the Highlands pool on Saturdays and Sundays for Recreational Swimming! While we will have capacity limits, there will still be plenty of space for you and your family to enjoy the water and get ready for summer. We are open from 1pm to 3:35 pm EVERY Saturday and Sunday beginning May 29th. Highland’s residents may make a reservation if concerned about the pool…
