Due to the anticipated storm, Highlands Recreation District will be closed tomorrow, 1/5/2023, to ensure that all staff and families are able to stay safe. This includes all offices and programs. The Rec has plans to reopen Friday 1/6/2023 unless we receive news of any power outages or unsafe conditions. Thank you for understanding and please stay safe.

Welcome back After School Program and In-Crowd families! We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday.  Winter camp was jolly, fun and festive! We did many cooking projects like making reindeer chow and snowball cookies.  We even played some new games like sink the ship and candy cane catch. 

The heaters are fixed! The heat exchangers have been cleaned and the heaters are back to running normally! Pool temperatures will consistently be between 83-85 degrees until summer, when we lower the pool temperature to 81-82 degrees to make the pool more refreshing in the summer heat. Thank you all for your patience and we hope to see you all back at the pool soon!

Special Holiday Pool Hours

Throughout the month of December, Highlands Rec held a Holiday Food Drive. We are proud to announce  a total of 119 pounds of donated food was raised!

Highlands Rec is offering Pickleball availability inside the Gym for Highlands Residents! The Pickleball court inside the Gym will be accessible on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9am-12pm.
