There have been many changes recently regarding COVID-19, the Omicron Variant, vaccination and testing requirements, mask requirements, etc. The District will continue to comply with all state and local health guidelines and mandates.
Did you know that every blood donation can save 3 lives? On Saturday, March 12th from 9am – 2pm, Red Cross will be in the Highlands Rec Gym collection blood donations. There are two types of blood donations available: Blood and Power Red. Be sure to choose the correct option you would like to donate at time of registration. (Please see Power Red information below).
Get a head start on Spring cleaning! Interested Highlands Residents can register to host a garage sale and share a list of big-ticket items that will be for sale, (dining table set, televisions, etc). Once all the participants information is received, Highlands Rec will advertise the Garage Sale locations and their big-ticket items to potential shoppers.

In January, the children in the After School Program enjoyed the beautiful winter weather by taking a nature walk and playing football and soccer. This month, we will be talking about Lunar New Year and getting ready for Valentine’s Day. We will be doing some crafts and baking projects to celebrate these holidays.
