This month, Highlands Rec is shining the spotlight on Jennifer Spencer. Jennifer was hired 2 years ago and is a Recreation Leader. She enjoys spending time with the kids in the After School Program and especially loves playing child directed games with them. Some of her favorites are chase, tag, and hula hooping!

As we approach the busy holiday season, the staff here at the EEC wanted to take the time to pause and give thanks to our community. We are so grateful for the support from our families, past and present, and from our fellow coworkers here at the Rec. We are honored that this community trusts us every day with their precious tiny humans!

In November, the kids had a great time with Thanksgiving crafts as well as putting their baking skills to the test.  The kids made cookies, pumpkin muffins, and cupcakes that looked like turkeys!

Aqua-Fit Classes Return!  Beginning Monday, November 29th, our Aqua-Fit (Deep water walking/jogging) class is back! The class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:15 to 9:15. All are welcome! Cost is simply the cost of admission for Lap Swim. The lap swim punch cards are also good for Aqua Fit! Come check it out and have fun with the group!
