July was National Parks Make Life Better Month! We invited members of the community to share the positive impact the Rec has on their families. Many community members shared stories about a favorite time they had at the Rec. Here are a few of them:

This month, Highlands Recreation District would like to shine a spotlight on Colleen Hahn! She is an early education teacher in the Tiger classroom. She is also the Curriculum Coordinator for the Early Education Center (EEC). Colleen began working in the EEC in 2019.

This month the EEC would like to share our favorite sensory activity!

Summer camp has been packed with fun activities! We had a rock wall and snake show visit us on our Thursday fun days.  The kids got a chance to see the snakes up close and hold them if they chose to.  We have also enjoyed water play and swimming.
