A Message From the General Manager

The District just announced the return of its pool membership program for Highlands residents which begins May 1st. The “Come back to the pool” membership campaign is focused on engaging residents who may have postponed or discontinued their attendance to the Highlands Pool over the past 2 years due to the COVID pandemic. The new program was developed over the past six months as COVID restrictions lessened, paving the way for a robust spring and summer swim season. Residents were surveyed on types of benefits and features they would most appreciate, and we listened. There are two membership options to choose from depending on your individual or family need. The District offers a year round individual membership geared toward regular lap swimmers and individuals wanting to take advantage of the health and the therapeutic benefits of the pool. The other is a seasonal family membership offered during the warmer months when families are more likely to frequent the pool for recreational swim and family time. All memberships come with free guest entry passes, priority registration and entry and more! Visit our website later this month to learn more.

The District is embarking on its facility master plan community engagement effort, My Rec – My Pool, with a focus on the Highlands Pool and other facility and grounds upgrades. The goal of this effort is reimagine the existing pool and pool house, while making the necessary upgrades to extend the useful life of existing buildings and grounds to better meet the community’s recreational needs. For more information on the master plan and how you can participate in the process, please visit our website at highlandsrec.ca.gov/my-rec
